Teen Accounts Shutting Down 😱🇦🇺🔥 Save Now!

Australia’s upcoming law restricting social media use for those under 16 is poised to impact a significant number of young users, with Meta, the parent company of Instagram, Facebook, and Threads, taking proactive steps to comply. Starting December 4th, Meta is notifying users between 13 and 15 years old that their accounts will be deactivated, coinciding with the law’s official implementation on December 10th. Approximately 150,000 users on Facebook and 350,000 on Instagram fall within this age range. To assist these users, Meta is requesting they update their contact information to receive alerts when their accounts become accessible again, and to download their posts and messages prior to reopening. In some instances, users can verify their age through a “video selfie” or by submitting a driver’s license or other government-issued ID, which will be assessed by the Age Check Certification Scheme – a UK-based organization. While this scheme didn't provide a flawless solution, Meta is fully committed to complying with the law, and companies failing to adequately prevent access by under-16s could face fines of up to A$50 million. Recognizing the potential impact, gaming platform Roblox has already implemented mandatory age checks for its chat features. The Australian e-Safety Commissioner believes this ban is designed to safeguard young people from the potential risks associated with social media use.
