Ukraine Peace Plan: Hope or Disaster? ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ”ฅ

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio insisted that a proposed Ukraine peace plan, described as a Russian โ€œwish list,โ€ was authored by the US. Rubio stated the plan included Ukraine agreeing to troop withdrawals from eastern areas and limiting its armed forces, incorporating input from both Russia and Ukraine. Donald Trump called the plan not a โ€œfinal offer.โ€ Alongside security officials from the UK, France, Germany, and Ukraine, a meeting occurred in Geneva on Sunday. A joint statement was issued by leaders of Canada, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Spain, the UK, Germany, and Norway, along with two senior EU officials, expressing concerns that the plan would leave Ukraine vulnerable to attack and require additional work due to concerns over border changes and caps on Ukraineโ€™s army. The plan proposes a withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the eastern Donetsk region, de facto Russian control of Donetsk and Luhansk, and freezing the borders of the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions. Kyiv would receive โ€œreliable security guarantees,โ€ and the plan anticipates Russia will not invade neighboring countries and NATO will not expand further.
