Airbus Crisis: Shadow Over Flights ✈️⚠️

Airbus has confirmed that a number of its aircraft will undergo inspections following the identification of a “supplier quality issue” relating to metal panels used on certain A320 planes. The problem, which the company stated affects a “limited number” of aircraft, emerged days after approximately 3,000 of the same model were temporarily grounded for an urgent software update. Airbus announced on Tuesday that it was adopting a “conservative approach” by assessing all potentially affected planes, despite the expectation that not all will require repairs, and Airbus shares have decreased by more than 6.5% over the past five days.
