π₯ Nvidia Fix: Gaming Performance Boost! π
Tech & Science
Nvidia has acknowledged that the October Windows updates for Windows 11 24H2 and 25H2 are causing performance issues for gamers and has responded with a new driver, version 581.94. This βhotfixβ driver is designed to quickly address these problems, as Nvidia noticed performance dips in certain games following the updates. Notably, these hotfix drivers are released swiftly, bypassing Nvidiaβs standard rigorous testing process to facilitate rapid deployment of solutions. Meanwhile, Microsoft has been working to resolve a range of bugs introduced in the same October updates, including problems with local HTTP connections, smart card authentication, and the Windows Recovery Environment β particularly on systems with USB mice and keyboards. Theyβve also addressed issues such as incorrect end-of-support alerts and instances of systems unexpectedly booting into BitLocker recovery. Additionally, earlier this year, Microsoft lifted two safeguards that had prevented users with Auto HDR or Asphalt 8: Airborne from utilizing the Windows 11 2024 Update.
