Srouji Weighing a Potential Exit
According to a Bloomberg report, Apple’s hardware executive, Johny Srouji, is considering leaving his position soon. Srouji, Apple’s senior vice president of hardware technologies, reportedly told Tim Cook that he is “seriously considering leaving in the near future.” While the report did not specify whether Srouji has another job offer, Bloomberg’s sources indicated that he is interested in joining another company if he were to depart Apple.
A Pivotal Figure Departing?
This departure would follow a series of recent executive exits, including John Giannandrea, who announced his retirement in spring 2026, and Alan Dye, the head of interface design, who is moving to Meta. These departures highlight a period of transition within Apple’s leadership structure.
Shifting Leadership at Apple
Furthermore, Apple has also announced the departures of Kate Adams, the company’s general counsel since 2017, and Lisa Jackson, vice president for Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, both slated to leave in early 2026. This consolidation of key roles reflects a strategic realignment within the company's operations.
Srouji’s Legacy: Driving Apple Silicon
Srouji joined the company in 2008 with the responsibility of developing Apple’s first in-house system-on-a-chip and subsequently spearheaded the transition to Apple silicon. His leadership has been instrumental in Apple’s advancements in chip technology, a key component of the company’s competitive advantage.
